The MyCharleston Speakeasy is a dress-up and dance event where we will transport you back to the Roaring Twenties. Our Hot Jazz band will get your toes tapping while the flapper dancers are knee-slapping, with group-led dances and performances, immerse yourself in the glamour of a 1920s Speakeasy.

About the event
Welcome to the Speakeasy! A dress-up and dance event where we will transport you back to the Roaring Twenties. Now in its 9th year, the ‘MyCharleston Speakeasy’ will have you dancing the iconic steps of the Golden age of Jazz in no time!
Be enthralled by live music, dance lessons and mesmerising performances. As soon as you enter, our singers and dancers will get you in the swing of things.
There will be a live Hot Jazz Band who will get you dancing everything from the Charleston to the Black Bottom. Described as ‘The most inclusive dance event at Brighton Fringe’, we are delighted to now be hosting this event at Saltdean Lido.
This event is for everyone. Expect pop-up dance classes, performances from our flapper girls and lots of amazing outfits - get your glad rags at the ready for this special afternoon of dancing.
