The beautiful Art Deco building has been lovingly restored to its former glory for the first time since the 1960’s.
Now a Grade II* listed building the iconic Art Deco building is surrounded by sea views and overlooks the original 1930’s open air pool.

The Ballroom
There are many elements that make Saltdean Lido a special place for couples to marry, from the sun lit terraces to the seaside setting.

Our original Art Deco Ballroom is particularly glorious, with its elegant, curved lines and distinctive curved terraces at either side.
The graceful light Ballroom can seat approximately 150 guests for a seated meal. As night falls the celebrations continue on the Ballroom dance floor when further evening guests are welcome to join the party.

The stunning architecture of the building is illuminated by night, giving you a spectacularly stylish setting in which to turn the music up, and enjoy the celebrations with your family and friends.
You and your guests can enjoy a beautiful drinks reception and take in the vast skies and seaside views from the curved terraces.
Overlooking the 40-metre open air pool and sunbathing lawns of the Lido. A spectacular spot for photos.
Couples can also take fabulous photos on the famous white cliffs and undercliff walk just moments from the Lido. The nearby South Downs also provides a breath-taking backdrop.

Our stunning Art Deco Ballroom provides the perfect backdrop for this quintessentially English experience.

Weddings with your best friends
Our now legendary Dog Swims take place in the pool across four weekends in September & October. What better way to celebrate your special day then with your best friends and favourite family members, including your furry ones!
We know how important it is for your best friend to be included in your special day, so for the month of Dogtember only we are inviting your most special friends to be part of your wedding day, as ring bearer or even trotting down the aisle at your side. They can join you at the top table and be included in your wedding photos.
*Saltdean Lido have only four special weekends a year where we can host dog friendly weddings.

Open Air Pool
The 40m open air pool is the Country’s only Grade II* listed Lido. The 1930’s unique crescent shaped swimming pool has been completely refurbished.

From sunset the building is entirely yours. When the pool is illuminated at night it provides a magical backdrop for special occasions.

Access to the pool itself can be arranged.
Dressing Room
There is a private dressing room on the first floor just moments away from the ceremony spaces where you can make the final adjustments to your special look, enjoy some privacy before the big event and perhaps a glass of fizz with friends!
Sensational Dining
Catering is one of the most important aspects of any Wedding. Saltdean Lido are proud to work with successful local chef behind the success of Hove Place and most recently Carne in Hove.
We’re as passionate as our Head Chef about using exceptional produce and fresh locally sourced ingredients from handpicked suppliers across Sussex, including high welfare meats, sustainable south coast fish and local farm produce.
